Tim Dean was born and raised in Greece, New York, a middle class suburban neighborhood just outside of Rochester. He graduated from Greece Olympia high school in 1982 and after working a few odd jobs, Tim enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1983. He served 18 months overseas in places such as Germany, Denmark, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Italy, France, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon and Puerto Rico, as well as a tour in Beirut, Lebanon in 1984 and was honorably discharged in May 1987.
Upon his discharge from the Marine Corps, Tim worked as a warehouse distribution specialist until 1989 at which time he received his Commercial Driver License and spent the next 21 years owning and driving commercial vehicles throughout the 48 contiguous states. Tim has been avidly working toward his goal of becoming a United States Congressman since a 2010 on the job accident left him permanently disabled and unable to continue working in the commercial transportation field.
Tim is an avid student of the United States Constitution and vows not only to govern constitutionally, but never to circumvent the law in the performance of his duties as a United States Congressman. According to Tim: “The constitution has been working just fine since its inception and there is absolutely no reason to think it’s an outdated or old document, for without the Constitution, our great country would not have been able to exist as the most free country on earth”.
Tim has 2 children, twins actually. Jordan is also a Marine Corps veteran having served two tours in Afghanistan, and is currently studying criminal justice at Arizona State University. Shauna has a degree in health and human services from the University of Buffalo and is currently employed in Rochester.
